How exciting I get to post the first thread on this forum!
 I am from the St Louis area and I am currently adopting a baby boy from Guatemala!!!!!!!!!! Come on others introduce yourself!!!!

Hi! My name is Jennifer and I live in Maryland Heights. My husband and I are adopting our first child. Her name is Isabel and she is 6 1/2 months old. We have been in PGN since Sept 25 with a previo at the end of November. We have been back in since 12/6 and hoping to hear something soon! I would love to join a play group!

Hey you guys! How cool is this? I didn't know that this forum existed until today, I was just surfing around and found you. I am Kathi and I live in St. Charles, I have "seen" some of you on the Guat forum before. We have three children, all adopted--2 from Romania and one bouncing baby boy from Guatemala. I would love love love to have another from Guat, but my husband thinks we are done for now. I have been thinking a little about doing a summer host program for Russian orphans, or fostering locally, since I don't feel "done" yet! My girls are both 6, and my son is 20months. We are very blessed!

Hi all,
We live in South County and have 2 girls from Guatemala: Kati is 3 years old (home at 8.5 months) and Elsa is 8 months (home at 4.5 months). Good to see so many familiar "faces" here. Brandee - it was so good to hear that you are going to get Max soon. Clare - I haven't forgotten about sending you the pictures of Santa Catarina Pinula, just can't remember it when I have the time to do it! Kathi - good to hear from you and great to meet you this past summer. Jennifer and Cheri - I hope you get good PGN news soon! So, how about planning some kind of "get-together"? It may be easier to wait to meet at a park or something in the spring unless anyone has an indoor meeting idea. What do you think?

Hey Diane! How are you doing? I have been thinking about you and wondering how Elsa is and how Kati is adjusting to having a little sisiter! I bet Elsa is adoreable!
A get together would be great! Wonder where we could all meet up in the wintertime (besides McDonalds!) Can't wait for the warm weather to come back!

No doubt, we frequent McDonald's and the Mall's playyard so much during the dreary winter! We could do the Magic House or something like that, but it is hard to actually talk there, so maybe McD's or the mall playyard are not bad ideas. Does anyone want to just make a plan to meet at one of the playyard's at one of the mall's? How about West County (this may be the most central)? We can meet, let the kids play a little and then maybe get a quick lunch or snack? I am off on Mondays and Thursdays, what works for the rest of you?
Kathi - Elsa is doing so great. We were so blessed to get her home at such a young age. She is easy going, happy, and beautiful! She is crawling all over and pulling up on furniture. She is trying to figure out how to walk around the furniture now. She is so strong - she can stand forever. She is big, too - in the 90th percentile for weight. We are so blessed...

Hi Guys, I would love to get together with you all. Of course we wont be home until 1/30 With our precious Angel. We live out West of St Louis so. The Mills or Chesterfield is closer to me(only about an hour). Actually Mid Rivers is closer and Warenton outlet is closest LOL(Way out of the way for the rest of you)
Let me know. I am Off until March 1st so I got plenty of time. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But

Maybe Chesterfield Mall would be good, and they have that cool Carousel to ride on too. Diane, would that be good for you?
We travel just about anywhere! We should wait until Brandee gets home so we can meet that little cutie of hers! Sometime in Feb??? I can come any day of the week. I will tell my friend Bonnie (she is not on the forums) and she can bring Saffron along too, since she and my Brody are pretty much like siamese twins! Brandee- saw your announcement on the Guat forum and loved it!

How nice to see other St. Louis area families on the forum. We live in the St. Charles area and are in the process of adopting a little girl from Guatemala. We just entered PGN on Feb. 6th-yeah! Took our first visit trip to Guat. two weeks ago. We have four wonderful bio sons and one precious daughter adopted from Russia. We can't wait to bring our little girl home. It's nice to meet you all!
