We had our phone interview today and I think things went well. I just talk too much whenever I'm nervous so the lady kept saying we had to move on. Hope that wasn't bad. Anyway, love to look to this board for lots of advice.

Yes - younger....

Good luck!

Katey in California checking in ...

Me (45 this month), DH (50), DD (21), DS's (16, 19) - all kids are bio. Also, 3 dogs,
3 cats, and 2 horses to eliminate all possibility of boredom. MAY have first
visit with 13 yo girl we hope to fost/adopt this weekend. So afraid something will get in
the way. They asked us to bring our basset hound to break the ice because he makes
people laugh. That along with eating and sleeping are the only real tricks bassets
know. I think I am scared. I am suddenly nervous. If anyone is not familiar with
bassets - they are the hush puppy dogs (looonnnggg ears, droopy face, big puffy paws)
who think people were put on earth for many doggy kisses and the giving of belly rubs.
Keep writing everyone. I am trying to learn from you.

From Florida

There's me and my husband, son (13) and daughter (almost 8) - each recently adopted (two years ago this time we didn't have kids, and they were two totally separate adoptions). We also have four dogs, a cat, a bird, and fish, but they're in my son's room and I'm not sure how many are still alive!

I think we're done with human kids adoptions, but we're hoping to move back to the midwest next year and who knows what will happen after that. I SAY "no more kids", but I've been known to sneak a peek at the photolistings every now and then...

Me(46),DH(40),DSons(26,23,17,14),new baby daughter 23 mos.

I have returned to work after getting 4 weeks off with "little B". She is everything we ever dreamed of and more. She is adjusting amazingly well.

I thank you all so much for your support as we waited.

To all who are waiting for placements, it will happen, have faith.
