Home I was powerless to attend chat last night!

About halfway through cooking dinner, our power went out. (Windstorm) Thank goodness it's a gas stove! We finished and ate dinner by candlelight, then sat and . . . talked! About everything/nothing, just like a normal family! (My picture of normal, ok?) What's happening at work, struggles he's having passing geometry tests on the computer, baking pan de muerto, what happened when he went to the beach Sunday. He told me the plot to the new horror flick (I've even blocked out the name now!) I told him I might work on an MBA (on-line). We talked about which is our favorite dog - "Maggie can't be your favorite, because she's my favorite, and that will make Cherry feel bad!" It was just a nice nice nice evening, free of tv and music and video games, and housework and laundry and bill paying.

I'm sorry to have missed chatting with you all - but I'm delighted to have had the unexpected reconnect time with C.

Hmmm, maybe you should blow the fuses once in awhile? Congrats on the family time.

I have my STARS training classes on Tuesdays. One more week to go! Then two extra Saturday classes for adoption.

Is this a valid excuse or do I owe someone chocolate?

Kay, I'm so glad that you got some quality time with C. We've been having thunderstorms and flooding here the last 2 days. My sat connection doesn't like the rain at all....one minute your connected..the next not. Kinda like the chat door.
