Not sure whether to laugh or scream!

Oldest Ds and I have been struggling for the last 2 weeks to get ANYTHING done in school. It's been such a difficult time. I seriously feel at times like I'm just going to run outside and start screaming or something. (Nervous breakdown, anyone?) This is added on top of daily life in our house, and 4 kids with colds.

Anyway, I've been going nuts trying to figure out what is going on with Ds. He can do the work, he just hasn't been able to sit down and do the work. It was so weird. This is stuff we've been dealing with, and making progress with, even, so why the regression?! This a.m. I asked if he'd been taking his fish oil and found out he hasn't taken it in almost 2 weeks! Now, the fish oil is NOT a magic wonder pill, but there is a marked difference for him when he doesn't take it.

HELLO?! This is the reason we've been regressing. I'm glad to know, but it's one those things where I just feel like banging my head on the wall for a bit, just to relieve the stress that's been so built up over the last couple of weeks.

I don't know how old he is, but it look like you are going to have to give it to him yourself. I hope it kicks in soon.
I started T back on fish oil a couple weeks ago. I hadn't given it to him in about a year (not sure why). It is my last hope before getting him checked for ADD/ADHD.

I don't know if its in my head but I think the fish oil seems to help too. I need to go back to that I think. I don't know why we stipped having her take it. Just forgot I guess.

We usually do directly give the kids their vitamins and stuff, but I've been busier with the kids who've been sick, and Ds is 11, so seemed able (he did do it for awhile...) to get his own fish oil capsule. Eveyone is getting over their colds and I'm not dosing with medicinal tea, cough drops, and tylenol anymore and have started paying closer attention to all the details again. I feel a bit stupid for not catching this sooner, but I've not been following all the routines we usually have in place. Sigh.

I guess it's like washing hands after using the bathroom. I STILL have to remind about that with ALL the kids! "Did you flush?" Yeeessss, Maaawwwwmm. "Did you wash your hands?" Startled look, then a hasty turn around back to the bathroom.
