Gratitude
I've been reminded several times this year that gratitude is an attitude that can, and should, be cultivated. My daily life is so consuming that I forget to remember to not focus on the immediate and to remember not just the big picture, but all that I do have that I need to be grateful for.
So here's my one thing I'm grateful for this week: My Dh, for his willingness to take up the slack (and there's a lot of slack...) and not think twice about it. And to be cheerful while doing it! He's amazing. When I thank him for different things he does, he looks at me like I'm crazy. He thinks he's "nothin' special".What are you grateful for today? Little things count just as much as big things. (I was debating about whether to say Dh, or really big, warm, comfy sweat pants. Dh won out today, though. )

I'm not very good about remembering to be greatful-I'm a horrible pessimist.
I am thankful, however, that there is food in my freezer. No matter what else happens, we will eat this week.

Today I'm grateful that my mom is here with me. And my mind chimes in with lots of "yeah-buts" - but I'm going to hold onto that goodness.

I am grateful for my sister who lives with me. Without her things would be a lot busier for me. She does the laundry and a lot of the cooking. I so appreciate her.

I am grateful for the way my bio boys have accepted their adopted siblings, even with all the turmoil that has come with them.

I'm thankful for popcorn, the youngest kids in bed, the baby asleep in my arms, my husband who put work gloves and 3-D glasses on to change a very disgusting diaper, that my oldest who has swine flu hasn't given it to my medically fragile kids, that my 15 yo ds is really enjoying learning greek from my dh, and all of you.

We always remind each other the "yeahobutt" monster doesn't live here. My oldest learned that in 3rd grade and it's stuck around. Today I am grateful for the sun coming out. My boys were able to play outside with the dogs for a bit before it started raining and the wind came. I *know* the rain is good for everything. After a week straight, I need some sunshine...

I am grateful for my DH because he's just awesome.
I am grateful for the fact that my favorite TV show was on tonight, and kiddo cuddled up to watch part of it with me. I am grateful to my cats, for providing me with the most loving, least complicated relationships of my life.

Today I am thankful that my kids are happy and healthy, that I have an awesome hubby, and that only 2 of my 4 new kittens got killed today instead of all 4.

I should have also added that I am very grateful for all of you guys! I would not have made it through the last few years without you guys to tell me I wasn't crazy, or that I am crazy, but so is my kid! LOL
I love you guys!

I'm thankful for the things we do together as a family. After sitting at a baseball game in a rather chilly evening (25ish) until 1 in the morning...everyone still got up with a smile on their face (and our team lost)!
I'm also thankful for my marriage and it surviving this last couple of years!
