My update really isn't about the kids, but dh. He was able to get his adoption records unsealed and with the name and some help, we were able to find his bmom.

Just met her this weekend... Surreal! I posted about it on another thread if interested in reading about it.

Kids are doing well in school and out of school. Few things here and there, but nothing serious and we have more laughs than tears.

Hi everyone! It has been ages since I have been on here! But here is my update:
J, 13, is in 8th grade now. He is playing french horn in band. J is in advanced math and honors english. However, tyical adhd kid that he is, he has a problem with getting his assignments finished and turned in on time. He is sweet and tries to be helpful.
T, 13, is also in 8th grade. She and I go round and round. She is no more attached to us now than she was when she moved in 3 1/2 years ago. She lies and steals from me and everyone else around here. I have cut off all contact with her birth mom, so that makes me an evil person. Once in awhile we will have a good day or two.
E, 10, is in fourth grade now. We have already had one conference, where his teacher tries to act like it's "all good". Yet I see his school work - most papers are only 25% done, and half of that is incorrect. His hand writing looks like a kindergartner's, and he is challenged to write one sentence - which will lack proper punctuation and be mostly spelled wrong. We did finally get a dx of PDD-NOS, but it has not brought any of the help I was hoping for.
In June we shut down my husband's business, after 13 years. I was only paying him half the time, and me not at all. He went to truck driving school and got his CDL. Now he has started a new job, so he is away during the training period. He left a week and a half ago, and won't be back for another 5 - 7 weeks. While training he is getting paid next to nothing.
I became a PartyLite consultant a year ago, and do enjoy that. Gets me out of this crazy house a couple times a week, and does help make ends meet. Or at least get close enough to wave, lol.
Guess that's about it for me. Congrats to all of you that have added to your families, and are making strides with your kids!

My 13 yr old is in 8th grade and plays to french horn too. (and trumpet)

J started on the trumpet, and still plays it on occassion, but his main instrument is the fr horn. I forgot to mention that T plays the flute.
E says he is going to start playing the trombone when he is in the sixth grade.

"A" started on the trombone in 5th grade, but within a couple weeks she switched to the trumpet.
