Thumbs up He fixed his hair...

Many of you know the ongoing issues I have had with my son V. It has been a struggle for nearly a year and a half for him.

V hasn't really cared about his appearance since April of last year. I have a couple of pictures of him before and after things started going downhill. Today, he put gel in his hair and prepped it like he did before he started having problems. I know it sounds funny to notice something like that, but I think this is a HUGE step for V. I didn't say anything, as that would be the kiss of death for a teenager.

One of his "good" friends texted me this weekend. He asked that I not say anything to V about him texting me. V told him that "if" he is working for me, he is not going to leave next year to go back to WA.

I will take "one step" at a time! Keep the prayers coming for him.

How fabulous where else in the world would a little hair gel feel like hope in a jar Funny I've been there am there now with a teen who has come back from that place and suddenly cares again even if its only a little bit.
Good luck with the next small step.

Sounds like a great first step!

My son was in the Goth-stage his last 3 years of school. I hated it, but how do ya tie down a 6 foot 4 inch kid to cut his hair?

One day he told me he wanted to get his hair cut. It was right after he hit a rock bottom moment. He looked SO much better! Everyone told him so!

Not soon after that he started talking about military and college. He finished 6 years in the military and is in his third year of college. If his hair starts touching his ears he's talking about needing a hair cut.

I hope this is just the start of a positive change for V. He deserves it!
