prayer request
My 20 year old son has made a lot of progress but does not do relationships well. He is very aware of his issues in this area and has been careful but decided to take a chance recently. It didn't work out and he's not handling it well. He's posting rather suicidal messages on his facebook. I did im him to see what was up. He told me he didn't think he had the guts to kill himself and signed off. Unfortunately, he's not reachable by phone and very far away. Not sure what to do at this point.
Not sure if he's better off with space or if I keep trying to email him or if I just pray and hope he doesn't do anything. If he goes to sleep, he'll be fine and it is after 1am where he is. Suggestions and prayers needed.

You may want to notify the authorities where he is and have them do a safety check on him. The personal contact may make a difference.

Oh Lucy, I am so sorry. What a tough thing to experience. I know how it feels to stand by and watch your kid go through this, but I don't know how it feels to do it from a distance. I'm here if you need someone. Prayers are definitely being said.

I'll be praying for you too. It's so hard when our kids are so far from home. I know I feel helpless when something happens to my kids who aren't close by. Add in emotional challenges and it makes it even harder.
I'm sorry things are so hard for your son. Does he, by chance have Asperger's? My youngest son does and I'm so concerned what his future holds once he's on his own.
