Heart My heart is still there, apparently

Today is "Take Our Kids to Work" day; something that C never participated in. Either he was doing poorly in school, or wasn't interested - he just never came. So today two co-workers brought in 10-year-olds, and I was just charmed! Yes, I realize that they grow into teenagers, and yes, I do think I'm too old to do this all again - but there's a part of my heart that remembers in fondness, and wishes I were up to doing it all again! Yeah, even with the tantrums and rages and exhaustion, there were SO many good times!!

You're not too old. (Obviously, there is the question of your sanity....but still.)

I'm with Lucy on this!
Seriously, glad you had your good memories jogged.

Glad to hear that through the constant din you can hear a soft bell. That may signal a chance for him to remember the good and the lessons gained.

You're not too old!! A whole fresh start would be great! You're a great mom and have so much to offer - and you have some unique experiences to draw from...

Hmmm...empty nest syndrome? I have two boys for you to chose from. One is a "well behaved" 16 (nearly 17) year old, 1/2 Hispanic boy. He plays well with others, just not authority figures. Very private (sneaky). The other is a 11 year old caucasian boy. Affectionate, and caring. Loves rap music and trash talk. Also very private (or sneaky, depends on how you look at things). Will not "snitch" when older brothers are doing illegal things. Either boy is available until the age of 18 (or earlier if placed in juvenile detention). On the day they turn 18, all bets are off as to where they will be.

Of course, I am kidding. All I can do right now is laugh about what is going on in my house. It hurts to much otherwise!

Indy I'll trade you 1 for 2 today!

She's 3 years old, and a real cutie, she does not talk back, can not sneak around, is addicted to Baby First tv only. Does not eat junk foods. Loves being the center of attention..ALL night long...and when her tummy isn't hurting is a real angel. And guaranteed not to stomp on your heart.

Kay, 10 is fun, it's 12 I'm not too keen on. LOL! I know, I know...I still have the teens to survive.

My youngest is 8 and he got to go to work with daddy yesterday. Just thrilled to finally get his chance and be in the older one's "club". He was up waiting for dh at 5:15 a.m. and had already gotten his socks and shoes on. Never mind I had set out his clothes down in the kitchen and he still had his jammies on.

See...fun times...and cute to boot! Go for it!
