So, I've been job hunting without much success. Am going through the process now to get food stamps. Have applied for unemployment and will claim my first period soon, at which time I'll find out if they'll object or not. Hanging in there financially at the moment.

Went to church with my paso friend and loved it. First positive church going experience I have had since I was a little kid. I've been going three days a week for service, a bible study and also counseling. Most of the time it's keeping me very positive about the future, but that's still kind of a daily struggle of ups and downs. I'm still praying for clarity about the decisions I have to make soon, though I strangely feel that the church going and study is more important at the moment than anything else. It's almost a compulsion, so I'm trying to go with it.

Tuesday of next week I'm having a hysterectomy before I lose my insurance (long standing problems and two previous surgeries in the last three years. I give up!), so if you don't mind sending some prayers and positive vibes my way at that time, I would greatly appreciate it.

Prayers and good vibes going up from here too. I had a hysterectomy about 11 or 12 years ago (it's too late at night for math) best thing I ever did! I don't miss that mess or the pain that came with it one bit. Will be sending out prayers for the surgery and for the job search and everything else.

You are on the right path with Church first. I wholly understand this. This is how I feel about my new Church and my new path.

I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago. I totally agree - best thing I ever did! Unfortunately they left my ovaries, had them removed in June.

And they are taking the left ovary. Had the right one removed last year. :-> Wish I'd had the whole thing last year but didn't have enough leave time saved up. Moot point now. lol

I'm going tomorrow to apply for a registration clerk position on nights/evenings/weekends for the local hospital. It would work for me, I could go to nursing school pretty easily that way. So positive vibes about that, if I'm supposed to get it I will, if not, I won't, that kind of thing.

Nursing is a good field to go into these days. It's one job that can't be send overseas and there is always a shortage. I was going to school for LVN and it was really not too hard. (I flunked the pysical though becuase of immune system issues)
