This was a surprise

We hardly ever get snow. We have about 4 inches with 12 hours more to come. And it's not slacking at all. I LOVE IT! Crazy dog just lays out in it.

We get snow ALL THE TIME. But I love the fresh snow on the ground and on the trees.

Oh, and dogs LOVE it! They'll roll around in it. My dog, and many ones I know will shove their nose in it and start flipping the snow up with their noses.

How about the kids? You gotta dress 'em up warmly and do snow angels! Send us pictures of the angels making angels!

We had close to 5 inches of snow today. We've had almost no snow this year and no good snow like this so it was nice. (Now tomorrow it needs to melt and get warm)

I wish I could take the kids out in it..but they are just now getting over the crud they've had for the past month. They get sick anytime theres a weather change. So I'm not chancing it. I did get a big bowl of snow and we made mini snowmen, and icees.

Here is my little snowbaby. As you can see he loves the snow. The weird thing is T doesn't like it. I had to make him go back out tonight. He lasted less then 5 min.

when you have that much snow, make snow ice cream. Get a big pan of clean fresh snow, add a little vanilla, sugar and evaporated milk enough to hold it together. You will have to adjust vanilla and sugar according to how much snow in the pan. I saw Paula Deen on the food network make it out of sweetened condensed, but I have never made it with that. You have to eat it fast, it melts fast.

We love snow cream! We got a lil over a foot here. That is very unusual for us. Tim has been trying for 2 hours to make a 9 mile drive to the hospital to pick up my sis. There's cars and trucks in ditches every where. He's pulling all he can out. He's got a 4-wheel drive and even he's pushing snow.

The interstates are backed up too. I heard on the news this morning that from Jackson to Brwonsville (less than 30 miles) that it took some folks 10 hours to get there because of wrecks and stuff.

Like I said we're not used to this and I think all the crazy people, get even crazier on the roads.

Ok for my northern friends, ya'll can stop laughing now.

I am not trying to hijack your theard Lylac. I had to share this picture of my 13yr old dog Snoopy trying to get the cat to play with him in the snow.
