I had my son's conference on Friday. And got Q's report card.

I AM SO PROUD OF HIM!

He got a C in Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. A B in Science and Math. Satisfactory in gym, art and computers and the kicker EXCELLANT in Music! That is a first he usually does very poorly in music.

I very much like his teachers this year. They are very communicative, push him (gently) to the next level. They really recognize his strengths.

His teacher has noticed that he is trying to triangulate between us. That he knows much more than he lets on, because he wants the extra help.

They also recognize that his social skills are lacking. This is the first time he has a desk with the other students. In other years they always him sit next to the teacher or aide by himself. He is thriving.

I just hope that he continues along at this pace.

I'm ok with C's on his report card. But would like to see him try to bring up a few of them to B's.
