Ok...now what?
The saga continues...
V made the decision to return to public school at the beginning of the 9 weeks. His grades are now very poor. He skipped school a couple of weeks ago and got put into juvenile detention. Now, he has an ankle bracelet. Well, about a week ago, I spoke to V about going back to home school and focusing on the GED. I had mixed feelings, as I am enjoying my free time from 830AM to 330PM every day! But, I made the offer thinking what is best for V. I also did not expect him to agree to return to home school. I left the choice to him, as he has to want something for himself to be successful. Tonight, V came to me and said he has decided to return to home school. Now I have to put my money and time where my mouth is! Hmmm...what was I thinking?

You were thinking "how can I help my child succeed?"
You big softie! I wish you great luck in this homeschooling. At one point I really wanted to do this with my son. But I really thought better of the idea. He really needs the socialization and I don't have the patience for him. We went to the local butcher shop tonight for our lunch meat. 6 LBs for $22 how can you go wrong? He never stopped talking the entire time. When I was paying, she politely asked me if I needed anything else? THen she asked if my son would be riding home in the trunck! |

ROFL First lesson of parenting, Indy, is never give a consequence or offer an alternative option that you can't live with!
![]() So...should be interesting having so much one-on-one with V. Keep us posted on how you're surviving. I'm still chortling to myself. This is great. ![]()

Can you put him in an online course instead of 'Dad's Course'?
