Had to take M2 to the Stress Center today

Ok...who has the rum?

M2 had a breakdown today. I spent most of the afternoon and evening in the hospital. M2 was hearing voices, hallicunations, etc. He told the school that he felt like his body was going to "incinerate". I took him in as soon as they called me.

The official diagnosis, we restarted his meds at full strength instead of building them up. They also suspect that M2 may have taken some meds that weren't his. I don't think he did it on purpose.

So...I am tired now. To tired to even vent.

If it isn't one thing, it's another! (((hugs))) and hope that M2 is doing better very soon, and that you are recovering, too.

Hope the meds get straightened out. Did they test him to see if he took other meds? Not all meds will show up-like a benedryl overdose doesn't get picked up on some tests.

Sounds like rum is a good plan.

I thought they always did drug tests when you take the kids to the hospital. We have always gotten results immediately. How are things going today? Is he stable?

Thumbs up Thank you

What an emotional day!

M2 is home today. He is better. The doctor is thinking it could be one of two things. One-M2 had not been taking full medication while living at the caretaker's home. When he moved back in, we put him on full meds. This included his clonidine, imiprine, and risperdol. Option 2 is that M2 took L's wellbutrin, instead of his risperdol. Either way, M2 went off the deep end. Another thing is that M2 always over exaggerates everything. So I am sure this came into play as he was getting so much attention.

The reason the hospital did not keep him, the Stress Center was closed. Their furnace had quit and they were putting patients into standard rooms.

The doctor doubled the risperdol, thinking this will get rid of the voices and hallucinations. He eliminated the imiprine and halved the clonidine. M2 is much better today. I am to keep him away from chaos for the weekend. I laughed when the doctor said that. So did he... Well, I am to keep him away from it as much as possible. He will return to school on Monday.

Thank you for the thoughts and prayers and phone calls...it helped me through a real tough day.
