To my children's teachers...
Dear Teacher,
I'm really sorry my child arrived to school a bit more energetic than usual. I confess to having fed them chocolate cake for breakfast. I assure you it's not a daily habit and I actually do feed them a healthy nutritious breakfast 95% of the time. You see, there's a tradition we started here a couple of years ago where the morning after a birthday, we eat leftover birthday cake for breakfast. I got this idea from a forum member here actually and if you need to talk to her, just pm AJJHMF. ![]() If you think about it though, there are eggs & flour in the cake and I did serve it with a big glass of cold milk. That is nutrition, no? I did make sure to serve it 2 hours before school time so they shouldn't be climbing the walls. If they do though, please know they are likely just re-enacting a superhero scene and there's always points for imagination, right? Sincerely, Crick

Chocolate has lots of antioxidents, too, especially if it is dark chocolate. It's good for you!

Don't blame me. Blame my father. LOL
Years ago when he first saw Bill Cosby: Himself (a must see for ALL parents) my dad got the idea and now we still do it. I simply feel that is such a wonderfult thing that it should be shared. All complaints will be noted and properly round-filed. LOL Seriously though, think of it as payback to the teaches for those homework battles we have to endure. |

Peachy - come to think of it, it was Devil's Food Cake...LOL! That's darker than milk chocolate right?
Amy - I do love that Bill Cosby routine and when Ajj first told me about the tradition she grew up with that was the first thing I thought of. Ah homework battles...you are SO RIGHT! LOL!
