C's sister came to visit today
With her new baby, and boyfriend, and boyfriend's dad. I got some time with the baby while she and C visited, and the other 2 guys were outside smoking. He is so precious! I sat there stroking his head, wondering how people could hurt kids so small and helpless (thinking of Lylac's kids) Also praying that he could somehow have a good life - that A could find it in her to be a good mom, even though she grew up in the system, firmly UN-attached to anyone, and with no positive role models in her birthfamily. The boyfriend seems nice (though hard to tell on a short visit) and they mentioned us coming down for the baptism (!!!) - that's a good thing. C said "I bet you can't wait for mine, huh?" and I replied, "oh yes, I can - at least 3 or 4 years!!!"

Glad you got to play with the baby. Hope A will turn out to be a good mom.

I am sure you can wait! That was nice of her to bring the baby to see you two.

I think it's cool C said that... even if you've had some rough times with him, you're an awesome mom for him... you and C still have a lifetime together... maybe not under the same roof necessarily in the years to come, but the future could truly be amazing...
