Who has the island address for teens boys?
My 16 year old is so dripping attitude. He informed me this morning that he is "different then his brothers and I just think he's the same"(hmm, all of them said that except the oldest). He then informs me that he is NOT moving out at 17 like his brothers did because he "has no where to go and they did.(feel the love people).
Better change the attitude, buddy or find somewhere(okay, I didn't say that but it was a nice thought for the 30 seconds it crossed my brain) He use to be so cute! Hope the off button for his new attitude clicks soon. This is not fun for the 8th time.

My kids started school today and I'm beginning the "get the house/yard ready" for sale.
I have tons of weeds to pull, flowers to plant, woodchips to spread, painting, baseboards to install, heavy lifting etc. I don't have an island, but will a cul-de-sac do? ![]() Sigh...I cannot wait for the teen "wisdom" days...not! Do you have an ipod? If not, maybe just get some ear buds anyway and make up your own attitude free music?

The Island...
I think that the island is located near Indianapolis. You can send you son there quietly. One more boy in the house wouldn't even be noticed.

O.K., I've been thinking about this, and I think I've found the answer...
Rather than trying to find and/or buy an island, I think we should just build one. I figure we all team up together and just pile up all of the *crap* they keep throwing at us, and I KNOW it'll be big enough for an island. Then they can live on/in it. Alright, alright, it was a metaphorical solution. But wouldn't it be satisfying??

I am down to FIVE in the house!!!! L graduated this year and moved out. M2 has made a number of poor choices and I found him an assisted living home. It is about 12 miles from here.
J3 works at Taco Bell (40 hours). C and V are working at the local pizza place. S has been staying with a friend sometimes....so it is just J4 and I!! This is really a big house for two people. Don't send them to Indy....it is finally quieting down. ![]()

My solution
It isn't as good as an island, but I have an extra 1 bedroom house on my property to which I have exiled my 17 year old for continuing to smoke, use snuff and drink despite repeated warnings. It has certainly lowered my irritation level! I wonder if I could dig a moat around that house...maybe if we all pitched in we could dig a really deep, wide moat and then put them all in there!
