Having a hard time...

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile..Things have been pretty tough around here...and it's all me!! LOL..

My eczema has flared so badly, I was in the hospital for a few days. I guess the reason I was so exhausted was because my skin was massive infected...and my body was trying so hard to fight it.

I was on IV antibiotics and the doctor kept trying to press me with oral steroids (they do really weird things to me...I hate the side effects!!).

The poor girls were so scared....they spent lots of time with me at the hospital and we had contests...which spot is reddest? driest body part lol...On the plus side, we did prove that even when mommie is sick, she still loves you.

My skin is so sore still..it's very very dry..when I move my shoulders, I feel skin pulling..arghh..But lucky me, I get back rubs every 15-20 mins or so when lucky hubby gets to rub cream onto my back lol..Nothing like a mixture of Vaseline, oil and Glaxal base to make everything greaassssssy!!

I detest eczema....detest....

oh hydroxy, you really have my empathy here. I suffer with psoriasis. I get spots on my elbows and knees but the worst areas are my hands and feet. I have tried all sorts of rx and over the counter and naturpathic cures to no avail. My hands continue to crack, peel and bleed as well as the soles of my feet. Great when I have to use both so much! Dermotologist just says it is stress induced, and until the stress is reduced there is only so much that can be done.
I am sure excema is worse with stress too, and Lord knows you have been under a mountain of stress lately.
You are in my prayers, always.

I haven't got any idea what you are going through but it sounds similar to really, really bad nonstop sunburn, which I have had. I hope you feel better soon!

Well I am just glad all is well. I was beginning to worry something had gone really wrong after the trial because I didn't hear anything.
Yeah that sounds heartless. I really hope you are feeling better soon. Do you think this came on due to stress of court and troubled little girls and exams etc, etc, etc? You really have had a rough go of things lately, I hope this goes away soon and you can take a wonderful summer break with your girls and relax for a while.

You have already been in my prayers, but now I will add your skin! I have skin issues too so know how painful that can be, plus it's just draining to have constant pain and then the stares you get in public.
Anyway, make sure to rest and give your body time to heal! Take care of you, and keep loving on those girls.

Thanks everyone!

I am still on antibiotics...the doctors have agreed that I need to be on constant antibiotics and antihistimines. My eczema is definitely stress flared, but it is also flared by my allergies...and right now everything is growing..so my allergies and eczema is soo sooo bad..

Basically I'm one big itch, and I shed enough skin to make another person..I change the sheets everyday..yucky..

LOL..mrs red..I think I have tried soooooo many creams, lotions, potions..I have natureopathic, prescriptions..

There are two words that anyone who comes to my house is not allowed to use.....Stop Scratching (grrrr...)..so feel free to come and visit...but if you tell me to stop scratching..well out ya go! LOLOL..
