Guess Who Is Home For Good?
Aaron! We picked him up yesterday and boy are we a happy bunch of people. We drove the 3 hour trip to pick him up with butterflies in our stomach. It took us 5 minutes to check him out and then we started for home. We stopped in Gaffney at the outlet stores to buy him all new clothes for the summer. He stuck to us like glue and has been real huggy. We then went to The Clock for a lunch celebration. He received numerous awards from his school for highest academic achievement. He has come a long way in the past 20 months. He is very happy to be home. He is 5'3" and weighs 104 pounds. But I expect he will gain some weight this summer. I hope he soon learns that he doesn't have to ask to go to the bathroom or if he can have something to eat. Here is hoping for a great summer and hopefully an easy transition back to family living. Thank you to all who have sent good thoughts and prayers for all of the above. It is greatly appreciated. ![]()

Yay!! I'm so glad he stuck with his plan and did the work needed to achieve this goal!!
I know you have spent so much time and love helping him make this goal and will continue to be there for him as he transitions back into "real life".

Wonderful! Congratulations to him, his parents and especially you. I really admire how you stepped up when his parents asked for your help.
I hope he continues to improve and can enjoy some of his childhood!
