I'm picking T up from the group home Sat. My extended family has a big party on memorial day so that's what we're doing.

I have a family thing on Sunday, I don't really want to go. A friend is having a picnic too. I'd rather go there. We may hit both.

But on Monday, Q is dancing at a local theme park. His studio is doing a performance in their pavillion area. Three of the four classes he takes are performing. It should be fun. Except that he performs at 3 in the afternoon. So at about 2:15 I have to start dragging him away, I'm sure kicking and screaming, from the fun to get into costume to perform. Yea!

What we do depends on what we find out from Tim's surgeon tomorrow.

Either we'll be smoking a shoulder and have family over, or we'll be getting things and kids situated while we're at the hospital.

My guys are going camping at my husband's Grandparent's Christmas Tree Farm. Boohoo, I will be forced to not cook and take a 2 hour bath and eat chocolate or ice cream and have possibly some wine and watch a chick flick. Let me tell you how heartbroken I am

We are buying new bikes and a kiddie trailer with our economic stimulus check, after all it is a patriotic holiday and its our patriotic duty to spend that money. So, since it rains here EVERY memorial day weekend we will look at our bikes in the garage and wish it was nice so we could take the kids biking. Actually, I think it will be nice on Saturday... fun, fun fun!!! And, I'm giving some thought to going water skiing, which I love, but the ice came off the lake 3 weeks ago, that might be too cold, even for me!

And, we try to participate in the parades and visit our local veteran's cemetery - in remembrance of why we ACTUALLY have a holiday.

I will be working on my back yard, desperately trying to figure out how to install fencing. If anyone wanted a free working vacation and you know how to install fencing... come on down!

Not doing much Memorial Day weekend. Friday, Mom and I are going to the cemetery to get the family graves ready for the weekend. We have five generations buried in the family plots, so it takes some effort.

Saturday, Camilla and I are going to catch dinner and a movie ("Prince Caspian"). Prior to that, it looks like I'll be on the tractor cutting grass.

For Sunday and Monday, no real plans. Maybe sleep in and then clean the empty bedrooms.

Mike

You mean other than sleep????
C and I were to go out of town to a friend's house, but it conflicts with his girlfriend's birthday, I'd have to hold a gun to his head to get him to come, I can't leave him home alone, and I'm still recovering from a cold - so last night I cancelled. The only definite thing as of now is to see Indiana Jones. (And I just might get a wild hair and go buy a Prius . . . )

WAIT!! Memorial Day is THIS weekend?! I don't even have potato chips!!

Well, now that I know...um...we'll be putting flowers on the family graves and probably hanging out on the lawn swing if it doesn't rain/snow/thunder storm/hail, etc.

Thanks for the heads-up!!

We were gonna go camping/fishing, but then my abdomen erupted a 'la "Alien" (darn ovarian cysts)...so we shelved that idea...which is a good thing because we really can't afford the gas and other costs.....because our only car is now having unidentified trouble.

I'm out of bed now, but I still wear out quite easily...I joked to my hubby that I'm decorative instead of functional.

Also, our area is having nasty horrid weather (rainy and 60 degrees) when only just on Tuesday it was a lovely 105.....what a difference a day makes....SO...the break in the weather and saving $$$ from no camping just might allow us to get our boat fixed. (by fixed I mean finish rebuilding part of the engine ourselves). It looks like a few flushes of oil after we put some pieces back together and we'll be ready to test her out before mounting it back in the boat and doing a real test run on the water (hopefully monday)....once that's done, we can work on rebuilding the carbs on our jetskis...

Then lookout summer here we come!!!!!

........errrr.......if we can find friends to go with us to split the stupid gas costs....
