Well it's over.

Well it's over. It actually wasn't bad. Such an odd family though."

J's sister was there as well as his Mom and his grandparents. PBFH hardly said anything to her two older kids. She took pictures of J with the camera on her phone. That was about it. She acted more like another sister to them instead of their Mom.

She would answer questions if spoken too directly. She wasn't exactly unfriendly...just didn't talk very much.

I don't know what I was expecting, but she was very frumpy....over weight, bad hair cut, no make-up. She held her new baby boy most of the time, but she was kind of hateful to him too. She wanted him to sit and play while she ate dinner, but he wanted her to hold him. And she sat him down hard on the floor once in frustration. I got the impression that she didn't like taking care of him.

Little sister was snippy and kept making snide references to J's drug use. I imagine she's a big ****.

But I didn't feel left out. And the best part was when they announced J they said J lives with Coach and Bippette. They made no mention of his Mom or grandparents. J was the one who filled out what they read....we are the ones he listed!!!

Congratulations on surviving graduation. And on getting J through high school! You are to be commended.

We gave him permission to stay out all night last night and he came in shortly after 1am anyway. When he came in, he talked to me for quite a while. He wanted some TLC and asked me to rub his shoulders for him. I asked him if it was stressful to have all of us there together, and he said it was.

We talked some about his Mom and the graduation. It still really hurts him the way she treats him.

That is awesome! The part of him graduating and him acknowledging your part in that.

As far as biofamily, that's just sad for J. He probably is stressed about seeing his baby sibling being treated the way he was his whole life

Congratulations to you, dh and J!
