Well I "Get" to meet J's birth Mom this
weekend....or as he would say his "real mom". I'm obviously not thrilled, but J's grandpa is paying for her ticket to fly in and watch him graduate.
Then they are all coming to his grad party at our house afterwards. I'm kind of curious about her...haven't even seen a picture of her. But I really resent her and wouldn't meet her if I had much of a choice. She's coming down to his graduation, and it's not like SHE had anything to do with him being able to graduate. Not only that. J is COMPLETELY out of money and out of gas. He's gpa called me today and asked me to loan J $10 so that he could drive to where they are to have lunch with gparents, his mother and his sister. Not only do I have to facilitate a visit with her....I have to PAY for it. Blech. I know I am being petty. ![]()

Better to get it all out here then at the graduation.
Try to enjoy yourself despite the strained relationships.

yep, uncomfortable and likely to breed resentment. Try to step back and view it as a fascinating study of the human species - your chance to get to meet this woman and get some of the pieces of J's puzzle. Then come here and vent to us about it! I have a decent idea of how you feel, having had to interact with my former fs's "uncle" who gets to be called Dad and think he's has done/is doing a FABULOUS job of parenting.
