List Chat Excuses Here...

I won't be there as my son has a band concert tonight. So I'll be sitting there in complete silence, smiling and nodding while pretending to listen to the squawks and squeaks. Err...I mean, I'll be sitting there ENJOYING it all and doing the wave!!

crick, are you taking some of those sound proof ear plugs like the people working at the airport use?

I am hoping to make it to chat tonight, but am submitting an early excuse for Friday. I am going to the beach with a group of women from church. A lot of us are really in need of a break from our daily grind. So, while you are all chatting, I plan on being in the hot tub, with a cosmopolitan in my hand, and laughter in my ears.

It's storming here! The lights are flickering, so I may lose power at any minute. I know NOT a worthy chat excuse. Plus we have a VERY early appointment tomorrow. Hoping to be there Friday night.

I was abducted by aliens and forced to spend 3 hours in a home improvement store where I had to make multiple decsions based on speculation. It was horrible. I begged and begged to go to chat, but there was no escape.

I sat through my son getting inducted into national Junior honor society. It was nice, but the kids read the speaches like they were bored. (they were) Then I went and watched my daughter struggle at dance class. She is a very good dancer, however her surgery in December changed the angle at which her left knee bends. (she does not even have a real knee, but she is able to bend it) She also has two artificial legs and ankles that don't bend. She is 8 and in a class for kids 12 and up. Because the class is for older kids, it's later, and so she is tired. Recital is Friday, this was the last practice. Her dance teacher only finished choreographing her solo two weeks ago. I also discovered she has blown a whole in the liner for her two month old prosthetic legs and has been walking on metal. I replaced the liner. (they always give us two since they usually only last us five or six months) She actually had two gel liners this time, one very thick. It scares me to think how much pressure it took to make that hole. Oh and did I mention she is a perfectionist? She ended up in tears, but her dance teacher was wonderful. She talked to her and calmed her down and got her to try one more time so she could end the night on a high note. So of course since I had one new honor society inducty and one child who worked so hard at dance I took them out for food after. Anyway, Friday night is dress rehearsal and set up for the stage crew. (me of course) May is just crazy for us, somewhere to be every day and every evening!

Okay, I totally missed chat due to working on a STUPID behavioral assessment thing for C that the agency cw emailed me saying she needed it by tomorrow. I spent a long time on it, then when I tried to send it I lost it!!!
So I started all over...
It was the stupidest assessment I have ever seen, and believe me, I have filled out a lot of these things. anyway, I added my own little piece to it, borrowing from Nancy Thomas's book. I put in the 23 item list of attachment disorder symptoms along with my opinion of which (19) of the them applied to C.
Don't know why agency cw worker and I go through all this waste of time since we both know she is not going to listen to a thing I have to say.

Lil Miss goes home - for good - on Thursday, so I am spending all of my free time with her. I am *sure* all of you will understand and accept my excuse for missing chat!

P.S. Please send good thoughts my way as tomorrow will be harder on me than I had expected!

GIANT Mutant grasshoppers held me hostage and forced me to watch Dancing With the Stars and then take a hot bath. I tried to get away, but then I realized resistance was futile.

I was sick...I still am sick...My asthma acted up so badly last night, I went to the ER for breathing treatments...and I have pneumonia...I feel like a truck hit me...then backed up and ran over me again just for good measure...

I'm going back to bed..
