"All About My Mom" - funny!

Thought everyone could use a Mother's Day chuckle. The actual day was okay - the boys let me sleep in a bit (almost 'til 7 a.m.!) and did give me lots of "presents" they'd made at school and daycare.
But what cracked me up the most was one of Q's gifts, a school assignment called "All About My Mom."
He got some of it right - my name, hair color, etc. But some of these are quite interesting!

My mom weighs about 20034 pounds.

My mom's favorite tv show is Skube Doobe Do (Scooby Doo)

My mom likes to jop in the snow (jump in the snow)
My mom doesn't like to brink galkihill (drink alcohol)

My mom likes to eat mackarone (macaroni n cheese) but don't give her jock food (junk food).

My mom's wish is to red pepous mind (read people's minds) - his teacher added "Q says that you usually read his mind

I behave best for my mom when win ranereng I run win and away onie (when it is raining or pouring and I run in the puddles)

My mom looks prettiest when harckut (she gets a haircut)

I like being with my mom most when mol of amorack (we go to the Mall of America)

If I could give my mom something special, it would be brhsday kork (birthday cake!)

My favorite thing about my mom is win hse kissi (when she kisses me)

I know, I know.......it's cuter when it's your own kid.
But it still made my day! And he's a pretty decent speller for a 6 year old kindergartener!!!! (that's my boy! Just have to work on the typos!!!)

Ooo...That is so sweet...He is a pretty good speller..The basic sounds are there

B gave me a card the other day...she told me though to be careful not to turn it upside down..when I asked her why...she told me the kisses would fall on the floor or on my feet...and she doesn't like kissing the floor and my feet are too smelly to kiss... LOLOL..

I love those. When I taught preschool I always had the kids fill out questionaires about thier parents, it was always so cute. I remember one of my kids once said my favorite hobby was taking a nap. Sounded good to me.

Thanks for sharing!

My hubby took my 4 kids to the lake for Mother's Day and I went window shopping with my mom. My girls were mad at me because they'd made bad choices and didn't get to spend the night at Grandma's. I got hugs from my boys though.

Your son's project makes me wish my kiddoes were younger and the school still made them make projects like that. I did receive this beautiful quote in my in-box - it almost made up for it.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And, as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

wow, marythemom, that was beautiful.

But really, I came back to post that I thought the thing missw005 had was so fun I copied it and asked my kids to fill it out.
My 8 yr old flat out refusedd. No shocker there.
But the other responses were fun to read.
J(12) thought I weighed 25 pounds more than I do, while T(almost 12) made points by guessing my weight 17 pounds under. C(4) said I weighed 5 pounds.
J was only an inch off on the height, but that wasn't so hard for him as he is getting so close to my height. T gave me an extra 5 inches... wow, she must see me as tall and slender!
J said I wished to have "good behaving kids", T said "to have us be good" and C said "to not have people yell at her or scream or cry"
C said mom looks best when wearing make-up, while J and T went for points by saying "always" and "everywhere"
J likes being with me most when I am in a good mood [he remembers that far back?], T when I am really happy [again, amazed at their capability to remember the distant past] and C... when she feels hungry.
If T could give me something special it would be "to be good and make her better" [I have no idea what that means], J would give me "more time" and C would give me a glass angel. T's favorite thing about me is "when she is happy we can have a lot of fun", J's favorite thing is "she loves me" and C's (and this is a direct quote) "happy and joyful and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah and stuff"

Great idea MrsRed

I not only copied this, but I altered it for Dads too. Should be entertaining! *grin*

My kids made me a giant card and put the usual lovely things but my son said he loves me b/c I don't beat him when he has a fit even though he knows I want to. I guess I need to hide my feelings better.
