no surgery, doc said sadly he could do nothing but send me home and I'd just have to live with the pain, so he gave me morphine prescription and Valium to help.

The avg normal cyst is the size of a pencil lead...the really bad ones get as big as an eraser or pinkie nail....I had *2* larger than golf balls. that both burst. My body will absorb all the blood and tussue eventually, but for now I feel like I've been ripped apart in my gut...as if I had had surgery..
DH has been doing all the housework and meals and dd hasn't fussed about her chores..I am out of bed this morning but I need to head back to bed shortly...even just walking wears me out...I guess I lost a lot of blood with the hemoraghing... Interestingly, it is all internal bleeding, with pooled up on a major nerve, so my right chest side from rib to spine including my diaphram only spasms and cramps up when I breathe or move...so that's not fun.

Ah, Aspen, you have my totally sympathy. I had a cyst rupture a long time ago. Mine was also large. Besides the ruptured one I had three ovarian cysts removed (basically within a three year period). All the ones they removed ranged in size from lemon to grapefruit. When yet another cyst showed up we were just stalling to remove it... because we had decided to go ahead and remove my ovaries at the same time, as so many surgeries are not good. That is when I got pregnant with my one and only biological child.

Aspenhall...
Ooooh, I'm sorry you had to go through that. I hope you heal quickly and never get another cyst.
