The good: My oldest son just got band member of the week and his high school marching band won district and area and is competing at the State level on Monday. Also M and I are getting to spend some time together. We spent the whole day together just him and me.
The bad: I really don't think this program is going to help, other than when it's done and he has not improved they may put us in the right one. I think we have to first prove this one won't work to get him switched. I have not found anything to switch him to yet and I don't think it's making him worse. They are not being conned by him and they are being very strict with him and making him talk about feelings instead of act up and he is not throwing up because we are in public at our meals. So he may gain a little weight.
The ugly: I miss my family, I feel guilty for giving one kid all the attention and ignoring the others. I am missing my son marching at state and I don't like this bed, it's hard and has no dh in it, and the bathroom down the hall is a pain, and sharing it means I feel guilty if I take long showers and no TV in the room has me bored silly.

This has helped to the point that she will stay asleep for 12 full hours (just what she needs). She only wakes at the 12 hr mark, or if I open her curtains.

I do keep his room dark, that's not the problem. Sometimes I know it's Q, who does not need 12 hrs. a night like J does, who wakes J up in the morning. Sometimes it's the other way around, too. Ugh.

They make melatonin spray???? J takes a pill about 45 minutes before he goes to bed.

I'm not sure what qualifies in what category, so I'll just post.

The part I know is good is that Shorty is doing really well. I love her like crazy, and she returns it. I was gone for 2 days for my bible study class. She doesn't sleep as well when I'm gone and was tired, plus emotionally drained because she missed me. She spent the night at her "fairy godmother's" house last night and DH got to have a REAL date last night. Shorty was happy to see me this morning. We spent most of church on the couch in the narthex cuddling and she fell asleep in my arms. It was awesome.

The combination part - T moved to his new foster home on Friday. I stopped by to meet them on my way back from my bible study class. It's an interesting dynamic. There is a husband and wife and a single guy. The single guy seems to really be the one in charge. We talked about T's issues and the guy looked at me and said "do you know who Nancy Thomas is?" He worked in a residential treatment center for 5 years. Boy, did T land in a home that gets it!! I was there for about an hour and saw some really good things from the other 3 boys that are there. T got busted for smoking, so it will be interesting. He had been there for less than 48 hours. I don't know how this is all going to play out, but I do know that it's not what he's going to be expecting. It will certainly keep him guessing.

We have court on Tuesday for his theft charges, so we'll see where that goes.

The melatonin brand I use comes in spray liquid form. My lil girl couldn't swallow pills to save her life!

Nature's Plus Nature Plus Melatonin Spray - 2 Fluid Ounces Liquid: Compare Prices, View Price History and Read Reviews at NexTag

The above link is the brand I use, I just buy it from my local herbal store.
