National Adoption Awareness Month
With November just around the corner, many of you might be looking for ideas on how to celebrate National Adoption Awareness Month. To help those of you needing ideas, check out the following link for some great suggestions!
National Adoption Awareness Month 2007 Even if you have no personal relationship with foster care adoption, which is what the month focuses on, there are many ideas on here that help celebrate adoption in general. No matter what type of adoption you do, it's fun to celebrate with others involved and spread the word! Positive messages surrounding ALL of our kids...that's something to celebrate indeed! If anyone has anything to share that would give others ideas, please feel free to post!

I started a foster and adoptive families group at my church, and after Mass on the 18th, we are sponsoring hospitality in the social hall (which is where we drink coffee, thank you, AHEM! some of you know what I am talking about here) with coffee and pastries and fruit and that kind of thing. We will be answering people's questions about fostering and adoption.
I also try to donate adoption themed books to our school library in November.
