it most certainly is worth it- but easy it is not. When they start your class out with the very grim statistics and you see how much work it is, you cant help but pray that you NEVER need to use the information you worked so hard to learn. When you do use it, everything goes on auto pilot anyway- you seldom count and think... you just do and mostly just pray!

My class was 8 hours. Luckily, it was on one of my good days. But can you imagine all that breathing with Emphysema? My chest ached for 3 days afterward!

my dh has used CPR on random strangers involved in car wrecks (i know odd) and all 3 times the person lived....but the wreck happened RIGHT in front of him...once car wreck he saw (no CPR) a baby in a car seat fleww thru the truck windshield and skidded down the road.....the baby was belted in, but NOT the carseat!!
