Please get off Uncle Mark, he is not a toy. (Major personal space issues and a couple of them will hump any man that slows down near them.)

Please stop foaming your spit. It makes you look rabid.

May I please go poo by myself?
That's a really bad fit. I need you to throw a bigger one, right here in the middle of the store.

I am sorry but I can't help laughing... I have used some of these myself. Two with SID here.
- you may not sleep under your bed ... or your playpen ... or the desk - you have a bed. every night it's the same thing. I have found her anywhere, except on her bed. And the whole no "chewing" - not clothes, not window sills. |

The thing that amazes me are the rules we've had to set that I never imagined needing:
"No bodily fluids in the freezer." Uh.... Yeah. "Do NOT stick your tissues to the window." (bad cold, creative child - I know, I'm gagging just typing this.) "You do NOT get to zip your baby brother inside the carry-on suitcase." "Did you brush your teeth? ... Yes! I meant today!" "What do you mean I have never told you to brush the backs of your teeth?" (Of course, this isn't true, but it DOES suggest that the backs of her teeth are less than well cared-for.) "Come out of the closet!" - not homophobic, but that ones makes me laugh every time I say it, which is frequently. My kids have cool closets, apparently. And the whole counting to three thing... Did I seriously go to college for 5 years to learn to count to three??? (I no longer count.) |

Some of these are too funny.
I have had to say many of them to our bio kids. Expecially our son who was ADHD and a typical boy. We also had our nieces as foster children for 9 months and had to use many. I can only imagine what I will need to say with foster/adopt kids.
