We're considering music therapy for our 4 yo (PTSD, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, some developmental delays).
He has some serious issues with self-regulation - every minute of every day and night is a roller coaster ride. I've read that learning rhythm and music can help his brain to better regulate. Any insight?

Piano
I've been told that, too. Our PT says to try something mathmatical, like a solo piano playing classical music. Anything "new age" ish or what we might use to calm a baby is NOT the same and they say it will not work.
We have yet to implement this idea in our home... Let me know how yours goes! |
