Talking Update..and possible match!

I haven't written in a very long time, I have to say this format is tough to enjoy - no frames, I miss the frames....

Also, I'm getting the digest every day, but haven't quite figured out how to send a new post there.

ANYWAY! Let me bring everyone up to speed. We started our adoption process in March of 2001, our homestudy was finished in December and we've been actively looking everywhere since.

We're in PA, which decided a few months ago that unless you purchase your homestudy, they will only send it in-state (@!#$%)

So we basically gave up for about three months. My cw is on maternity leave, and her supervisor never contacted me so I figured we'd just hang it up and see what happens.

Well, they hired a girl to handle foster care, and she took on my case until my cw returns next month. She's very enthusiastic and has been searching like crazy for us.

Also, we changed our criteria -we were looking at all ages, but decided to stay with 7 and under, preferrable under 5. (we have daughters and are looking for boys) Another reason I just about gave up, they are few and far between!

Well, I found a boy, 3 years old, who is available, perfectly fits our criteria and my cw sent our hs yesterday. I'm cautiously optimistic. I know LOTS of people will be sending hs's on him because he has so few special needs.

I think we have two strengths on this one, he has two special needs that we have already dealt with in our own family, so that's a plus.

So anyway, after MONTHS of nothing, suddenly we're back looking and riding the rollercoaster again!!

I hope I have more to post these days!

Blessings to all of you!
Sherry

Thumbs up Welcome back Sherry...

and good luck on your new rollercoaster! I still believe that fate has a lot to say about what happens, and when...!
