Whats your Memorial Day plans?
We have none that are definate. Maybe take the kids to Fort Pillow for a picnic by the lake. Or maybe just stay home and cookout and have a picnic at home.
L's been bugging us for the last 3 days about having one. But I don't think I like her menu. Peanut butter & cheese sandwiches Ice cream & pancakes tomatos pears popcorn

ROFL! Peanut Butter & Cheese???? TOGETHER???
Huh...guess L is on the cutting edge of cuisine!  We have no definite plans other than dh IS gonna get that dang "WIFE SAYS TO DO" list taken care of. I am hiding the remote & car keys til that stuff is done! Just piddling really...bbq on Monday, but it's a casual affair so not anything to plan for really.

We never do much of anything because hubby is on call for the ambulance on Monday's so every Memorial Day he is on call. Maybe take Shorty to a parade about 5 miles away and let her load up on candy.
Don't know yet if t will be home. Friday night we are using a gift certificate I got for a free hotel room and have to use it before it expires, so we'll go hang out at the hotel and do some swimming. My niece lives 5 blocks away, so hoping she can come and join us.

My family always has a big "Reunion/Get Together" on Memorial Day weekend. We BBQ and always eat way too much!
My ds will be bringing his girlfriend down for the weekend (so she can meet the rest of the family!) And we just got the news that I can start adoption procedures on M & lil A so it should be a great celebration!

I'm not allowed to require her to do either one. 12/18/08 - B refused to live in my home anymore and chose to return to a former foster family. 1/18/09 - Former foster family refused to keep B any longer. 1/20/09 - Former foster family decided that they would keep B since I was going to place her in a therapeutic shelter and then Job Corps. 1/22/09 - Former foster family called abuse report in on me in retaliation for the loss of their foster license. 1/29/09 - Placed on leave from job with CPS. 2/10/09 - Notified that my employment will be terminated on 2/20/09.

I think we are planning on doing nothing, and loving every minute of it. Not sure though if dh has anything planned, it's been so busy with concerts, recitals and award ceremonies and such we have hardly had two minutes to ourselves. Sunday My second son is getting confirmed and so we will have dinner with family and such.

We go every year to the 100 mile yardsale in Missouri.
It starts tomorrow and ends Monday. We can only go Saturday since DH has to work the other days. Monday will be just another day for us.

I've tried to post my plans twice now and the computer won't let me, apparently they aren't exciting enough!
Edited to add: Of course it works now!!! My plan is to eat chocolate and have a good cry and to go on a nice 20 mile dayhike with hubby to make sure my back has healed enough for our upcoming backpacking trip.
