Mike_envy_anonymous
As I have fell victim to this disease myself, I thought I would start a thread that we could come to in order to share our thoughts after reading Mike's latest post on M, thereby keeping Mike's thread free of our comments.
Mike, you are welcome here, but I think it would be better for you if you left us to complain amongst ourselves.

Of course we are happy for Mike. That doesn't preclude being TOTALLY envious of him having a teen in his home that one doesn't have to use blasting caps to get off their duff.

Lots of envy here...
...due to what we're going through right now. I'd love to have a friendly cooperative teenager in my home.
But I am SO happy for Mike, I just delight in reading his good news! ![]() |

Oh, Mike knows we love him and we're happy for him. Just because we have a deep, deep desire to lob snowballs at him shouldn't take away from that. I'm building my army, Mike. Be afraid, very very afraid.

Yes, we are all happy for Mike & M & C.
And I tremendously enjoy reading his posts and how Mike is being such a positive influence in M's life, and vice-versa.
I started this thread to fight off my temptation of replying to Mike's thread anything but positive comments. The situation with my ds still drives me to tears sometimes. He's a teenager, he's been with us for several years. I feel like I've failed him. Now, Lylac and ajjhmf, have you ever gone into an AA meeting to announce that you are not an alcoholic? ![]() Someone once described my sense of humor as "subtle, dry sarcasm". I'm afraid it doesn't come across in writing too well sometimes.

I totally got it. And it is very possible to be incredibly happy for a person one minute and at the same moment be envious.
I also have subtle, dry sarcasm in my humor repetoire - I find just about everything funny in one way or another. Sarah

I saw the humor right away...
I loved the title of the thread!
Heck, I'd be envious of any one of you if you lucked out like I seem to have. Mike
