When I first came to Cali to see my father it was only for week and I called our social worker (who did our homestudy) and asked her if it would be okay to stay the extra week with my dad. She said that she didnt think it would be a problem and said she would check with the kids case manager and let her know..we were continuing the overnight visits with the "kyle" while I was away..my husband is wonderful with kids and "kyle" loves him. The case worker was very upset and put the adoption on "hold". She denied any visitation with "kyle" until I come back..This case worker seems to be very unstable and has to have complete control..I would be afraid to tell her or even hint that we would like to postpone everything until my father passes. She would more likely to cancel it..and we started this adoption specifically because of them..So I can't walk away now..
Hopefully I will have a better view from home..Thanks for your advice!
