I gotta say...I much prefer the "punk" (emo) look to the goth look. It's a little less extreme IMO. Course, I'm all about 'glam rock" and eyeliner etc....(DH would look rridiculous tho!)
I say, let him while he can still get away with it...he's got the whole middle age of his life to be mainstream...just be sure to have a talk about the *expiration date* of such looks...ie: when it'll be time to grow up..... Mike, DH is also 6' and about 275-290....BUT he used to be a body builder so most of that is old muscle (with a layer of chub on top to keep it safe!) He's actually made an appointment this spring to have Lipo and a tummy tuck He lost most the weight at one time, but had the "apron" of skin that wouldn't shrink back...so he's going the surgical route. The dr told him that he wasn't unhealthy and that without the "protective layer" he'd actually have a 6 pack under there....LOL I'm just worried he'll get a skinny face HE doesn't look good that way and I NEED my man to be a bit beefy. I'm actually a little concerned they'll make him TOO small. (I'm 5'10 sz 12 ..170 lbs) I gotta say, big and "beefy" is the way a man should be !!!! Mike, next time you see that co-worker you should throw on some ridiculous bright floral silk scarf over the turtleneck and see what the guy says then ask "Is this enough color?"

Aspen:
Your comment about color reminded me of something that happened a couple of years ago. I still have some of my 80's clothing in the back of the closet. C was helping me clean out a closet and he found what my friends dubbed "The Shirt" back in college. A long-sleeved collared shirt in lime green with black and gold paisley patterns. C took one look at this and said "You wore this?" I assured him that I did, upon which he said "And you're sure you were straight ?" LOL
