I also had a great time... I probably won't have a two year old chasing the dog around the house while the phone rings and E's goofy friend tries to convince him to go ride bikes at 9pm... Arg... I feel I missed some of the conversations... but it was fun and hope we can meet there again next week!

I had a great time! Thank you to Mike for organizing it. I left around 11:15 ET. How long did the "party" go after I left?

Thumbs up had a great time...

I had a great time last night. It was just like hanging out with a group of old friends. Gotta love the way our conversations flowed: our kids, system horror stories, South Park, parenting stressors, and even the "morals" of Paris Hilton. Wow!

For the record, the party broke up about 1am Eastern Time.

I have been "chatting" here for years, and last nite was one of the best chats ever!! The topics were light to heavy and some just plain frustrating (the wacked system). I enjoyed the support and banter, even poor Mike hitting himself on the head.
I wanted to especially thank you all in special needs situations for being so kind to some of the "regular" chatters that came in that are not "special needs adoptive parents" so to say. It was a very open and considerate chat.
I beamed having so many in chat! There were rooms that broke off, adoptive parents and fostering, due to the huge amount of people that showed up. I bounced around the different rooms, and EVERYONE was very excited and kind!
Looking forward to next week!

I had a great time too. While I was there. I lost my internet connection and then I couldn't get back into chat because 'i was already there'.

I'll 'see' you next week.

Anyone else feel like they were at Cheers or something?

It was a great chat. And yeah, it sure felt like Cheers whenever someone would enter "the room". I left before the Paris Hilton conversation got going, probably a good thing...

Yawn! 1am was a bit late for me. I'm still in recovery mode. Next week I'll have to watch the clock better. LOL

It really was a great chat. The conversation was great and my hubby loved getting to meet my forum friends. I'm really looking forward to next week. Should be a blast!

I'm sorry I missed most of the chat last night (I was on for about 1/2 hour at the end). After our date night, and rushing home to check on our 15 year old (son) babysitter who got whacked in the head with a nintendo controller (it wasn't even a light saber). I decided to check it out and see if anyone was still on, I was suprised so many still were.

I did miss the Paris Hilton conversations - Oh Darn! But I was part of the "hickey" conversations. Having a teenager is freaking me out-(luckily mine is just starting to notice girls- no hickeys -yet)! Anyway thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome and a part of "the group". - Suz

Thumbs up We are an odd bunch...

Let's see, in four hours we managed to talk about: special needs kids, abuse issues, hickeys, Isaac hayes, C-sections, Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise, incompetent workers, Indy's plaid pants, my son's chest-shaving, and teenage terrors. With all the issues we deal with each week, we all really need this break. And, yes, it did feel like "Cheers".

I can't WAIT until next week. I really think we should plan a summer get-together in Chicago!!

I did tell C this morning that I shared the "tampon" story. His face tunred white as a sheet and he said "If you guys get together, I will NOT go if they know that."

I'm gonna be a bit egotistical and say that I think I had the best line of the night: Katie Holmes should have married the turkey baster that knocked her up.

You guys are AWESOME!!!

Mike

Forgot about the cervix...

Wasn't that the point where we lost Indy?
