submitted for our first sibling set

We just submitted for our first sibling set. So hopefully we'll hear something in the next month (NJ is very slow). So this is our second official submission.

Fingers and Toes Crossed

Know that at this stage you don't want (or even can't) give out alot of information ... but wanted to let you know we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers - update us when you can!

We really don't have any information other than they are 2 girls with issues that we can deal with, one of the girls has some past aggressive behaviors (i definately want more information on those). Neither one has a dx. But I haven't talked to the worker, won't get to unless we're selected.

I hate getting emotionally attached to children we submitt on, and since we can only submit on one child or sibling set at a time it's really difficult to not get emtionally invested.

Our last submission was for a 12 yr old girl who wanted to be on a swim team once she was adopted. So we researched swim teams in the area: dates, fees, when she could start, talked to coaches, etc. Only to not get selected for her. We even looked at public vs private schools. (since both of our sons are homeschooled we had to look into that).

I really hate the wait. The positive is that during the last wait I lost 8 lbs in a month, just burning nervous energy. So by the time we actually have a daughter or siblings I'll probably be a supermodel, a short one though, LOL.

Ah, man! Am I the only one who gains weight no matter what? I overwork myself; I gain weight. I get excited; I gain weight. I get stressed; I gain weight. I get sick, or the moon rises, or the sun sets...seeing the pattern yet? LOL

Seriously though, it is really tough going through the wait. I got to the point where I just really was convinced we wouldn't be matched with the little one we were waiting on most recently. I was really surprised when we were! But it didn't change the fact that the wait was just the pits.

Hoping you hear more info about this sibling group soon.

I expected that there would be times like this - but I never thought they'd be so bad, so long, and so frequent.
