Q is finally adopted!!!
FINALLY........................
Quay's adoption was finalized on Tuesday, Sept. 20!!! It has been a LOOOOOOOONG and fitful series of court battles, and I am extremely happy it's over. YIPPEEE!!!!!!!!!! Before we went to court, the boys and I went to lunch with my brother and my mom. It was a bit....... stressful to say the least, but is done and overwith now. My family is just NOT tuned into reality with special needs kids!!!! (Especially mine)During the proceeding itself, my lovely child decided to mimic the judge as he asked me questions...........and would NOT stop. I'm whispering for him to stop, so is my mom, and my brother...........oh yeah, and with a big smirk on his face, Quay did it for the entire proceeding. My brother whispered for me to put my hand over his mouth, and I'm thinking, "Hello!! We're in family court, for crying out loud! I don't think holding my hand over his mouth is optional!!!!" And of course the court reporter (whom I went to high school with) is just dying and can barely type because she's laughing so hard, and the bailiff is holding a clipboard in front of her face to hide behind............ Yah. That's my kid. John was acting out pretty badly, the whole angry and jealous routine. I didn't want him to be left out, but am wondering if next time I'll leave him at daycare? I'm having a party/open house to celebrate on October 1 in the afternoon for a couple hours. Going to order a couple of meat/cheese, fruit/veggie trays, get a cake, and voila! Instant party!!! (if anyone's in northern MN, feel free to drop by!!! )Sandy PS - Jury is still out on the Strattera, we'll have to see the true effects this weekend. Looks slightly better - less rages - than the Adderall, though. THanks, Mike!

Hi Sandy,
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I was sitting here cracking up reading our Quay imitating the Judge. We finalized on Sept. 2nd and our kids were WILD!! In fact, they didn't sit with us during the proceedings at all - they were all over the place LOL. When the Judge had us come behind the bench for a picture our son, Ricky, was "honking" my dh's nose and it's now captured forever in their adoption photos. What a riot and just think of the memories you will always carry with you. Michelle
