Child Care/After Care
I am in the process of adopting a sibling group with special needs. They have been with me for over two years. During this process I have not had much success with the daycare situation. The providers are not experienced and don't understand the needs of the children. Therapuetic daycare was suggested. But 1) we don't have any such thing in my area. 2) My children's needs may not lend itself to that. They have had some success in settings that include some behavior modification, expectations of them, and that keep them busy.
I am looking for some advice or a model of a structured program that will address help to build their self-esteem and self-confidence, that will help with anger management, grief, support the educational process etc. Thanks DBYRD
