Had a phone call this afternoon from a sw in another state. I had been considered for a 15 y/o girl with mild cerebral palsy. The worker told me the committee had met and I came in second for this young gal's placement....And..there is a chance the family chosen for her placement will turn it down. So the sw called to ask if I would still consider this young gal. I said yes. And...she also told me the committee was very impressed with me and spent some time talking about the other kids I would be a good match for. So she also wanted to know if it was okay if they passed my homestudy around to consider me for some other kids. I said Yes! This made my day! This is the closest I have come to being chosen for a child's placement...and there is still hope!

LOL!! I just had to get in a reference to the Olympics. It sounds pretty up-beat that you came in 2nd. ) And to get your homestudy passed around is a big step! Keep us all posted!!
