I'm a confessed TV addict. It used to be - if I was awake, the TV was on. Change that - if I was home, it was on. I slept with it on.

Well, my 5 year old hasn't seen TV in probably a year. But, I'm still an addict. Eight o'clock, he's off to bed and the TV comes on!

I turned off the cable when I was on disability in October, and don't really miss it much. I actually get quite a bit - ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX/WB/UPN and 2 PBS stations. Not bad, no cable, no antenna.

As for school, we don't start here until the Wednesday after Labor Day. And my son has surgery on that Thursday and won't go until Monday. I expect the calls to come in immediately following. He won't sit still, he won't listen, he's yelling, yada, yada, yada.

You go Indy! I am glad that you are modeling well for your kids; it says alot about your committment.

However, don't forget to have some fun yourself, whatever that is for you.

p.s. I had to do the same no TV thing with my daughter, with exception that I allowed her to watch on Friday nights and on Saturday. The rest of the week, the TV was off. My girl is learning to explore her environment much better.
