ME TOO!

The baby dying today seemed like the straw that broke the camel's back. Everything looks a bit gray right now. I'm half afraid of what's going to happen next. (!) I'm tired of death and trying to deal with the traumas. (Then I feel so weenie for being upset, knowing how our friend must be hurting so much.) Some good news would definitely help. So, some happy-news-full person please POST!! LOL!!

OK OK.....here is some good news!!!

After CAREFULLY reviewing the casefiles (yes Keagan.....your advise was always in the back of my mind)we have decided to proceed. I dont want to be over optimistic, but the kids are just what we were wanting. Anyway we are to have the meeting with CPS next week and they will be placed with us the following week. Second we have sold our house and are moving THIS Saturday. We were hoping that we would be able to move and get the kids close together. Then we would be able to start off in a new neighborhood (where no one knows us)and hopefully give the kids a chance to get a fresh start without being labeled as foster kids. Our new house is really cool. It has five bedrooms and three living areas. Four bedrooms are upstairs....so that will allow for all the kids to have their own room plus an extra room for the computer, playstation and toys. The masterbedroom has its own sitting room. The sitting room will contain two lazy boy recliners and a tv. Great thing about this room.....no kids allowed to enter after 9:30 PM....LOL! Anyway I cant tell you how excited we are. I think it will be really great! The kids have already been told about us by their caseworker and are VERY excited. They have lived most of their lives in homeless shelters. Once they were taken into custody, they were placed in seperate foster homes. Both foster homes presently have 10 kids living there. This will be the first time that the kids actually have their own home not to mention their own room. I cant imagine what is going through their heads right now. Chris and I have been talking about holidays too. We are so used to it just being us and Tawni. Well things are about to change! These two kids have 4 other siblings that they are required to keep in contact with. All of them have already been adopted and live very close to us. Can you imagine what it is going to be like on b-days or Christmas? Talk about extended complex family. LOL! So now, instead of buying Christmas presents for one kid.....we will have to buy for 7! Anyway I will keep you guys informed the best I can. Just keep your chins up!! Good things do happen!!

Maybe you can fine tune the reception and I'll be able to visualize it! )
