Hi. I am wanting to foster a child that a friend of mine is currently fostering. If the child does eventually become available for adoption, she is pretty sure she won't adopt the child herself. I would like to foster the child if returned to parents eventually, and would love to adopt if the child becomes available. I actually live in a different county, but very close in distance. I would not want to take the child out of the current school, and the child would still have close ties with the current foster mother. I am planning on starting GPS classes very soon. I am wondering if anyone knows if this is possible, and maybe any advice or warnings of pitfalls that I might not have anticipated. Thank you.
