new federal regs regarding foster care...to increase the number of adoptions

Meanwhile foster/adopt families hang on, waiting endlessly to make a child they love a permanent part of their family. I would appreciate any info you could give me. Thanks. lizz

ASFA (Adoption and Safe Families Act)

Your state has had a couple of law suits that speeded up adoptions and provided for postadoption services. It's always worth a call to your state legislator, or a visit to his or her office, to inquire why children are waiting? Just a hint.

Thanks for the web site. lizz

Hurry up and wait.

I'm in. Either they rush to place without reviewing other families homestudies like my first inquiry or take their own sweet time for weeks after termination like my present inquiry. I'm like you I don't want to be blacklisted but what recourse do we have? I thought of emailing or calling my local
congressman but what can they do? The worker for these girls
says she wants to put them on tv and they've been online for
weeks. They've already had over thirty families apply plus me
and I'm wondering what the hell is the hold up what are they looking for Mother Theresa?

foster/adoption homestudy question

If this is so, how else can we find affordable ways to increase the love to share in our family?
