Let's change the Forum name....

Forum Name

We really enjoy this forum and do agree "special needs" may be outdated ... is there any child, birth, foster or adopted, who does not have some sort of special need - the most of all love - ?

Not sure what would be good but maybe something that incorporates ... making families forever always ...

We have the most popular forum because of the various topics
that fall into this category.

Name Change

I've never liked the phrase "Special Needs". The first few times I heard it I assoicated it with a handicap (I mean disablity).

To suggest that because a child is...

- Older than 6

- A "minority"

- Member of a sibling group

- Has unique psycological or phycial requirements

...only makes the child less desirable to those poking into the notion of adopting.

Why not

GREAT KIDS,

OUR KIDS,

I don't know something positive, upbeat...
