Institutions
I have a younger sister who was adopted from Romania at the age of 2 years old. She was in an orphanage. She has grown up so much and is a wonderful human being.
She suffers from ADHA as well as several learning disabilities. I am in search of stories from other people about children who where institutionalized and how they are doing now? I am interested in finding out if there are others like my sister who perhaps as a result of being institutionalized have been having trouble in such area's of there lives, or even any medical condtitions, or anything that is related too there development. |

I have two children who were adopted in Romania-misdiagnosed as ADHD but actually suffered from RAD. With the right treetment, one is completely healed, healthy seven year old. The other is 12 and has come a long way. I believe he will also heal to lead a normal adult life.
I know many children raised in Romanian orphanages who have struggled greatly. Many received very poor care and their parents never learned of the effects off instutionlization of children prior to adopting these kids. What is it you are looking for? |
