I am engaged to a woman the was raped last year, and had the child
this past December, the father is unknown and she has no recollection of
anything. the catch is that she is still married due to Arkansas's No-Fault divorce laws and both sides placing blame so the jusge is having them wait out the 18months, also in Arkansas her (EX)husband is the assumed father of the child from rape, so he has to have a DNA test done. They have been separated for over 2years and they did NOT live together at the time of the rape. When the DNA test proves he is not the father what is our course of action for me adopting my little boy, whom I have known since she was 7months pregnant? We know that her EX is not the father, how do I
get to take over the rights of my son? There is not a name on the birth certificate under father right now, but he has my middle and last name.
Also the EX is being investigated for sexually abusing her 2yr old daughter also. And I
would like to eventually adopt her as well. What are our options??
