Several of you have asked how our friend Mike is doing. So I will update you with some information.
Mike and his son came to Indy a couple of weeks ago. His son continues to grow like a "weed". He is 14 now and as big as I am. I stand almost 5'10" and weigh 170 pounds. So I am not a "little" guy. He smiles a lot. His son and my sons like the same stuff: Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, Matrix, and every kind of video game! So they get along well! Mike is doing well. He has settled into the father mode well. I think he has done very well. I knew he could do it!! BIG NEWS!!! - Mike is considering son #2!!!! No more details on that, as I don't want to spoil it if he gets back to the board. You how Mike is. Take care all!

Way to go Mike!!
I have a 14 yr old son also. It sounds like Chris has really shot up! What's Mike feeding that kid? I hope Mike does come back. We're all here supporting #2! That'll be one lucky kid! |

Hooray for #2, Mike!
Actually, Mike doesn't know me at all, because I wasn't posting way back when, but I *was*reading, and both Indy and Mike, as singles, provided inspiration for me to continue. I'm not quite to the #2 stage, I'm so delighted in how well #1 and I are doing as a family, I don't want to jeapordize it! - But you guys may yet inspire me again! (You, and the knowledge that there are older kids out there that really need a family . . . they do keep calling to me!) Congrats to both of you on your successes, and thanks for your unintentional inspiration . . . ![]() |

Tell Mike that even though he did the "take placement and run" thing (hehe) we will forgive him and let him come back and update us on how life is going for him.
Is he planning on baking apple pies again for the preplacement visits? I died laughing when I read that before. |
