Adoption Subsidy

Adoption Subsidy is a monthly payment it varies by state how much. It is also not dependable. It can come late. It can come the next month. It's not meant to totally support the child, but with Special Needs Adoptions there are a lot of additional expenses occurred.

There are also Adoption subsidies Payment of Services, Transportation, a $10,000 Tax Credit etc that are part of the Adoption itself.

Where are you seeing it or reading it?

No. It's to assist the adoptive parents for the special needs of a child. It's usually for children adopted through fostercare who have medical or emotional problems or siblings that need to be placed together.

It sounds like you gave up a child for adoption last year and are now having financial difficulties? You should contact your local department of social services (usually in the county offices) and talk with them about getting assistance, welfare, food stamps, WIC, etc

Good luck.
