Could anyone tell me about passive restraint ? My husband and I are looking to adopt a child and we will be taking a course next month to learn about "passive restraint" but I would like to know as much info on it as I can befor I get there.
Im thinking its when you have the child sit on you with your arms crossed over them and/or in some cases with your legs crossed over too is this right?
I have looked on the web but all I get is sites dealing with seat-belts

Actually, passive restarint is different than that, but I don't think I could adequately describe it with words. You kinda have to see it. I thought it was just what you described before I got the training too. If this is the CPI course, it is well worth your time. I enjoyed the training and learned a lot. There is a test at the end, but it is simple. When are the classes?

We are planning to adopt through the state of Pa
Our first class is July 19th followed by one the following Sat.
After we complete those courses we will then be instructed as to when the passsive restraint course is as well as our first aide course
It might seem like im jumping ahead of my self befor we even get to the first course ----But hey im excited !!!-----Its been a long ten years
